Top 10 Tuesday: Summer TBR

Top 10 Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. Come play along!

Today's topic is: Top 10 Books on Your Summer TBR List

I'm finally going to get to you:

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. Because, seriously, it's time to read it.
Perfect Scoundrels by Ally Carter. Are they finally together?
Audrey, Wait by Robin Benway. Just got this from the library.
Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. I've heard all the good things about this.

Summer Releases:
Abandon by Elana Johnson (just came out)
The Bitter Kingdom by Rae Carson (out August 27. That's still summer, right?)

Re-reads & Book Club:
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. The perfect summer book.
The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater. To get ready for the sequel that comes out in September

Daddy-Long-Legs by Jean Webster. I know nothing about this one, but it's the July book club pick
Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell. I've heard lots of good things.

  1. Is it shameful that I haven't read The Book Thief either? And I own it, and don't know when or if I'll ever get to it? On the other hand, I hope you love Eleanor & Park. It's my favorite book so far this year. Love it.

  3. Oh, you HAVE to read THE BOOK THIEF. It's the only one I've read on your list, but it's the BEST book. You'll love it.

    1. Thanks! Everyone keeps telling me that. I've wanted to wait until I was in the mood for it (because it seems like kind of a downer book?) but I need to just start it already. :)

  4. Great list, I love The Book Thief and Perfect Scoundrels which I think you'll really enjoy if you want more insight in Kat and Hale's relationship.

    1. Thanks! I always want those books to have a little more romance than they actually do, so I'm hopeful. :)

  5. I read Ann and the French Kiss this spring. I am re-reading Raven Boys right now and it's just as good as the first time. I just finished an ARC of The Bitter Kingdom and it is worth the wait. Eleanor and Park was fantastic. The audio of The Book Thief is amazing. I read Daddy Long Legs when I was a kid and watched the movie. Leslie Caron is so cool. I think you have a wonderful summer of reading ahead of you. I haven't read Me Before You, but I saw it on someone else's list too. I think I will have to add it to my TBR. Have fun reading!

    1. Thanks! It's good to know you enjoyed so many from my list. And I'm so jealous of anyone who's read The Bitter Kingdom already! :) I'm definitely looking forward to it.

  7. SO many good books on your list! I had a lot of fun with "Audrey, Wait" despite the fact that the cover kinda gives me a seizure. I really want to know how you like "Me Before You"--it's on my TBR as well. And "Daddy-Long-Legs"...I'm a little tentative about reading it. I feel like it could go either way for me.

    1. That cover is a little crazy! The one I got from the library has a different cover, but it's kind of boring. :)
And I looked up Daddy Long Legs on goodreads and now I'm kind of unsure about it too.
