I thought March would be a better reading/blogging month than February, but it didn't happen that way. (more on that at the end of the post) I finished 3 new books and a re-read, though.
Never Eighteen by Megan Bostic. Basically nothing about this book worked for me. Maybe it will be a better fit for you.
The Hunger but Mainly Death Games. A little more potty humor and grossness than I care for, but some genuinely funny parts. It's the first (and probably only) Hunger Games parody I'll read.
Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver. It started out slowly, and switched between "then" when Lena first arrived in the Wilds and "now" when she worked undercover for the resistance. I didn't think there was quite enough story for the "then" chapters, but once the book picked up it was hard to put down. Some of it was predictable, and some plot elements reminded me a lot of The Hunger Games series, but Oliver's writing is so good it covers a multitude of sins.
3.5/5 Read This.
I also finished my Hunger Games reread-along, planned a Hunger Games party, reviewed the movie, and gave Bloggiesta a shot.
For April, I'm sad to say I'll be going on hiatus (again). I have some health stuff going on that's making it hard for me to keep up with everything. So my blog has to take a back seat for a while. I'll still be around to visit blogs periodically, and I'll try to make short posts when I read something fabulous. Until then, happy reading!
