Half-awake Hopping!

Book Blogger Hop

How/Where do you get your books? Do you buy them or go to the library? Is there a certain website you use like paperbackswap?

I get like 99.99999% of my books from the library. I actually won a book of my choice from the Freedom Giveaway Hops and had no idea what to pick. The only books I actually own are (most of) the Harry Potter series and the Hunger Games series.

(But I picked Supernaturally for the giveaway. Kiersten White is coming to my library in August so I'll get her to sign the book, read it, and then probably give it away).

Q. What do I do when I am not reading?

I feel like I'm lame this week, but my answer is honestly "everything else!" But I think the point was, what do you do for fun? I love everything summery... being outside, going to the pool, picnics, the park. So I try to spend as much time outside as life allows. And I love to dance, but I don't do that as often as I used to (especially now that going dancing requires a babysitter!)

Happy Friday! What do you do for fun?

  3. My husband wishes I liked to dance. He loves to dance, but it terrifies me. I feel like a dork and have no beat whatsoever, so I really do look like a dork.

  6. I’m seeing a pattern of book acquisition here. After all, there are just so many places to get books and so many different ways to read them.

It’s hard to beat the library for price and selection but it’s even harder to beat the convenience of browsing BN or Amazon from a Nook or Kindle, hitting a button and reading the book you picked in about sixty seconds.

As usual, my answer to this week’s Book Blogger Hop question is all over the map. Hop on over and read my multipart answer – http://www.howardsherman.net

  9. Hopping through. So cool that Kiersten is going to be at your library. You lucky Utah bloggers! You always get the best signings. I'm going to be in Utah for about 30 hours in a few weeks for my hubby's 20th high school reunion. It'd be cool if there was a signing I could attend.

  10. Thanks everyone for stopping by!

Jenni Elyse, I don't know that I'm very good at dancing, either! But I do have fun with it. :)

AgnesPink, thanks! That picture is actually kind of old but I think it's cute and that's how a lot of people recognize me in comments or on twitter. So I haven't changed it.

Alison, if you know the dates it probably wouldn't be hard to find something going on. It seems like people are signing everywhere around here. Even at the Costco. :)
